Information about St Mary's Church
Following a grant from the National Lottery the church is now also a community space for Huggate Village.
As we do not have a Village Hall this is the place for booking your activities. There is lots of space, a small kitchen, a toilet and plenty of tables and chairs. Maybe you are looking for a venue for a childrens party, family event, group meeting or similar then please contact the church to book.

The church with its 14th-century tower and spire is a prominent feature in this small Wolds village.
Norman nave and chancel arch above which are two small Norman windows that provide a puzzle for the architectural historian.
What are they doing here?
The clerestory is of the late 15th-Century. These notes come from East Yorkshire Historic Churches Trust.
